About The Huntsville Concert Band
Founded in 1963 and officially organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization on November 8, 1966, The Huntsville Concert Band performs year-round at public events throughout northern Alabama. Recent concerts include Concerts In The Park, a Medal of Honor ceremony, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center's 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Apollo Moon Landing, and the All German Festival as part of Celebration 2000.
We have also been honored to perform at Huntsville Honor Flight departure and arrival celebrations, and annual Huntsville Veteran's Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
A typical performance may include Sousa marches, patriotic music, classical selections, show tunes, Broadway musicals, ragtime, novelties, jazz, Dixieland, swing, and sing-a-longs.
